The E-KCS Cougar Athletic Booster Club was organized 2 years ago
to help provide events for student athletes that would not have been
included within last year?s budget. Specifically, the Booster Club was
able to provide transportation for non-league games and tournaments for
several teams.
We were able to do this because of our fundraising efforts,
which were quite successful. We established a concession stand during outdoor sporting events,
held a chicken bar-b-que, and recruited local businesses for sponsors at home basketball
games.
The Goals of the Booster Club are threefold: (1) raise money,
(2) boost spirit and (3) promote participation. Last year we instituted a ?Tees for 3's?
event during home basketball games whereby a t-shirt was thrown into the crowd after the first
successful 3-point shot. Additionally, we held an alumni basketball game and a 3-on-3 Basketball
Tournament, combined with a Family Fun Night, which we would like to host annually.
Although we have recruited members throughout the year, we are
still a small group and could use more members and volunteers. Specifically, our concession
stand is a steady source of income for us, but we could use a little more help manning the
stand. Please consider joining this
