I was hired as elementary principal in 2004.  My past administrative experiences include: Dean of Students Grades K-12 and Middle/High School  Principal at Colton-Pierrepont Central for four years.

My teaching career started as a Special Education Teacher in Massena. I then earned a Masters Degree in Human Counseling and Development through St. Lawrence University. I used this training to become a counselor with St. Lawrence/Lewis BOCES. I served for nine years as a counselor with regular, special, and alternative education students. This was a fabulous eye opening experience to the educational system and all the possibilities. This made me seek further education, and I obtained an Administrative Masters from St. Lawrence University.

Other experiences that I have had were in an administrative role for both Sunmount DDSO and NYSARC. I managed both children’s and adult intermediate care facilities in St. Lawrence County.

Outside of school I spend time with my family in our new home in Potsdam. I enjoy outdoor activities, crafts, home improvement projects, and sports.
