Welcome to the instrumental music department. 

Our first performance of the school year is on October 29th at an assembly for Pre-K through Grade 6.  We will be performing during 7th period.  We are calling this our very first "Halloween Music Assembly".  We have several groups playing music that keeps in the spirit of Halloween.  The concert band will perform a piece called Creepy  Classics, which includes:  Sorcerer's Apprentice, Night on Bald Mountain, Dance Macabre,  In the Hall of the Mountain King.  The Junior Band is performing a piece called, Tunes that go Bump in the Night.  The Sixth Grade Band is working on a piece called , Freaky Fantasy.  Finally, the Junior High Stage Band is working on a piece called, Peter Gunn.  This doesn't have a scary name, but we are working on a scary story to go with it.  The chorus will lead the audience in singing, The Ghost of John.  We are having fun working on this thematic music.

The Junior High Stage Band and the High School Jazz Ensemble members will be traveling to SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday, October 14th to hear the Marine Corp Jazz Ensemble.  It looks like a terrific concert.

Congratulations to Amelia Colton who has been accepted to Area All-State Band this year.  The festival will be November 20 and 21.
