Math 7/8 was created to allow for students to be able to take AP Calculus before graduation. The course begins by covering all the Pre-March 7th grade curriculum as well as reviewing the Post-March 6th grade curriculum. This needs to happen because the students will take the 7th grade state exam in March as 7th graders.

We then move on to covering all of the Pre&Post-March 8th grade curriculum. This is needed because these students will be entering Algebra as eighth graders.

As eighth graders they will be studying Algebra exclusively. Therefore, they need all the 8th grade material covered prior to the start of the year in order to do well on the 8th grade state test given in March.

This class will take both the 8th grade state exam in March, as well as the Algebra regents in June.
