I began my teaching career in the Edwards-Central School in 1983 and have been a teacher in the Edwards-Knox Central School since 1986.    I was a student in Colton-Pierrepont Central School from grades K-12.  I am proud of the education I received at CPCS and was a 1976 honor graduate.  In 1978, I graduated from Canton College with an Associate Degree in Agricultural Science. In 1982 my undergraduate education was completed at Potsdam College with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. My Master's Degree was completed in 1987 at Potsdam College.    I began my teaching career in the old Edwards-Central School in 1983 and have been a teacher in the Edwards-Knox Central School since 1986.

It has been a privilege to have been granted the opportunity to many things involving education during my life.   I have worked and been taught and nurtured by many wonderful individuals and have been proud to have the opportunity to learn a great deal from them.  These opportunities have included work as an adjunct instructor at  SUNY CantonSUNY Potsdam, membership as a regional mentor in the New York State Biology-Chemistry Mentor Network, and my past work and present work as an education consultant for the New York State Education Department.

I can not imagine and would never want to teach anywhere else, given the wonderful staff and students I work with.   I was fortunate enough to be the recipient of the NABT/NY Outstanding Biology Teacher Award in 2003.
