My name is Julie McGraw. I currently teach second
grade classroom at Edwards-Knox Central.
This is my ninth year at Edwards-Knox Central. I was previously in the field of
Engineering. But after nine years in this field, eight years of marriage, and
two young children, I decided to change careers! In 1991 I returned to school
to pursue my Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in English, Writing,
and Elementary Education. I graduated in 1994, taught fifth grade for one year
at St. Mary's School in Canton, and began teaching at Edwards-Knox in September,
1995. I pursued my Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist and received that
degree in May, 1999.
On a more personal note, my husband Jim and I live outside Dekalb, Junction with
our two children Dan, age 18, and Bridgette, age 16. Needless to say, we are
very busy with the activities our children pursue, such as basketball, and friends. Our children attend Edwards-Knox with me. I do enjoy flower
gardening, the outdoors, and creating things out of stained glass. My husband
is an avid collector of John Deere tractors. We have traveled many miles from
Toronto to Tennessee to drag home a collectible or two! This hobby seems to
keep all of us busy!!
