Twenty-three new members where tapped for membership during the 1999-2000 annual induction ceremony of the Edwards-Knox Chapter of the National Honor Society. The program was held on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 and was emceed by chapter president, Matt Young. Three seniors were inducted: Christy Higham, the daughter of Jeff and Kelly Higham; Richard King, the son of David and Cindy King; and Francis "BJ" Sharpstene, the son of Francis and Vicki Sharpstene. There were three juniors inducted: Becky Dafoe, the daughter of Marcia and Ronnie White; David Truesdell, the son of Anne Truesdell and the late Reverend John Truesdell; and Melissa Tulip, the daughter of Keith and Paula Tulip. Seventeen sophomores were inducted: Candace Brassard, the daughter of David Brassard and Patti Davis; Matt Brewer, the son of Brian and Becky Brewer; Nicole Denesha, the daughter of Karl and Shirley Denesha; Zachary Dovel, the son of Clint and Jeanette Dovel; Shannon Hance, the daughter of Randy and Debbie Hance; Raisha Hewlett, the daughter of Stephen and Jill Hewlett; Jennifer Hogle, the daughter of Rodney and Teresa Hogle; Meghan Hurley, the daughter of Brian and Dianne Hurley; Brian Klock, the son of Kevin and Brenda Klock; Karla LaPoint, the daughter of Carleton LaPoint and Karen Whiteford; Jeremy Robison, the son of Ronald and Cindy Robison; Amy St. Louis, the daughter of Vern and Helen St. Louis; Erin Sternisha, the daughter of Bill and Kelly Sternisha; Todd Wells, the son of Kevin and Sharlene Wells; Drew White, the son of Robert and Debbie White; Stephen Whitmarsh, the son of Thomas and Kathy Whitmarsh; and Collin Wolfe, the son of Jerry and Arlene Wolfe.
