NHS Timeline

• Following the 15th week of school the NHS advisor(s) request a list from the guidance office of those Junior and Senior students meeting the academic criteria for membership who are not already chapter members.

• No later than the 1st week of January the NHS applications will be available to eligible students.  Eligibility is calculated using a cumulative average from grade 9 through 11th grade up to the 15th week of school in their junior year.

• The Friday before the January regents week will be the due date for the application (which is the personal essay, service report, and 2 letters of recommendation).  The complete application with all recommendation letters must be handed to the NHS advisor or co-advisor in hard copy.   No electronic submissions will be accepted.
