The Edwards-Knox Central School District is excited to announce its top academic achievers for the Class of 2025. These two exceptional students have distinguished themselves through their remarkable dedication to scholarship, leadership and community involvement throughout their high school careers.

Valedictorian

Myles LaPoint

Edwards-Knox Central School is proud to announce that Myles LaPoint has earned the prestigious title of valedictorian for the Class of 2025! With an impressive GPA of 95.6, Myles has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and a strong commitment to learning. He will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, as well as mastery in both mathematics and science—a testament to his dedication and hard work.

Myles has consistently challenged himself academically by enrolling in rigorous coursework, including Advanced Placement and college-level classes, demonstrating his commitment to intellectual growth and preparedness for higher education. His dedication to learning extends beyond the classroom, as he actively participates in academic organizations that foster curiosity, leadership and collaboration. Throughout high school, he was also a proud member of the National Honor Society, exemplifying scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Myles is a natural leader and a well-rounded student. He has been a dedicated athlete, contributing to the Edwards-Knox Cougar Boys Soccer team, where he has demonstrated teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship. His leadership abilities are further exemplified through his involvement in student government, where he has taken on key leadership roles to advocate for and support his peers. In addition, his passion for the arts is evident in his long-standing commitment to our school musical productions, where he has showcased creativity, collaboration and dedication.

Myles’ ability to balance academic excellence, leadership and extracurricular involvement speaks to his strong character, work ethic and enthusiasm for making a meaningful impact in his community.

With a bright future ahead, Myles plans to attend the University of Vermont to study microbiology in a pre-medical advisory track, and there is no doubt that his work ethic, intelligence and leadership will carry him far. We congratulate Myles on this incredible achievement and look forward to seeing all he will accomplish in the years to come!

Salutatorian

Edwards-Knox Central School is thrilled to announce that Kiana Hogle has been named salutatorian of the Class of 2025! With an impressive GPA of 94.7, Kiana has demonstrated unwavering dedication to academic excellence. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, as well as Mastery in Science and Mathematics, highlighting her exceptional aptitude in these subjects.

Kiana’s dedication to education and personal growth extends far beyond the classroom. Throughout high school, she was a proud member of the National Honor Society, exemplifying scholarship, leadership, service and character. As a student leader, she has demonstrated integrity, initiative and a deep passion for learning, particularly in the sciences. Her ambition to pursue a career in pharmacy has led her to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting, where she has developed strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to helping others. This experience has reinforced her career aspirations while further strengthening her work ethic and sense of responsibility.

Beyond academics, Kiana is a standout athlete, competing in varsity soccer, basketball and softball. A dedicated and disciplined basketball player, she recently reached the remarkable milestone of scoring over 1,000 career points—an achievement that reflects her perseverance, determination and drive for excellence in everything she pursues.

What truly sets Kiana apart is her ability to balance her academic excellence, professional experience and athletic achievements with grace and determination. Whether excelling in the classroom, contributing to her community or leading on the field, Kiana is an inspiring role model for her peers.
