Say Something Anonymous Reporting System to go live Nov. 10

Edwards-Knox Central School is implementing the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (ARS) from Sandy Hook Promise this school year. This nationally recognized program empowers students to become individuals who look out for one another and speak up when they see warning signs or threats.

As part of the rollout, student training began on November 5. In preparation, the district has worked to build awareness of the program and its resources.

The Say Something program teaches students to:

  • Recognize warning signs and threats of someone who may be at risk of harming themselves or others
  • Act immediately and take it seriously
  • Say something to a trusted adult or submit a tip anonymously

Students will be able to report concerns in several ways:

  • Through the Say Something reporting app, accessible via our school website
  • By calling 1 (844) 572-9669
  • By speaking directly with a trusted adult

Creating a safe and supportive school environment is a shared responsibility. The Say Something program helps students build a culture of care, responsibility, and action, ensuring that no warning sign goes unnoticed and no student feels alone.
