The Edwards-Knox Central School District will see its new leadership structure go into effect on Thursday, Oct. 1, after the Board of Education approved Jessica Sullivan’s contract at its Sept. 15 meeting.
“I am incredibly excited to officially begin my role at Edwards-Knox,” said Sullivan. “I look forward to getting to know our students, staff, families, and community and becoming part of what makes Edwards-Knox such a special place.”
At the start of October, Sullivan will take over as Superintendent of Schools. At that time, current superintendent Erin Woods will transition to the role of Deputy Superintendent until she retires in early January.
Sullivan currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at the Gouverneur Central School District. She earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from St. Lawrence University, where she also obtained her School Building Leader and School District Leader certifications. In addition, she holds a Master of Science in Teaching from the State University of New York at Potsdam.
